Balance and performance.
Designed by architect J.M. Finot, the First 28 fits perfectly into the lineage of Firsts: fast and safe boats.
The pinched entries and generous shapes of the First 28's stern testify to the architect's choices in favor of a moderately displacing and exceptionally performing boat.
The hull with significant form stability has allowed for the adoption of a ballast ratio of 40%, giving the boat great rigidity under sail from the first angles of heel. Gentle on the helm, balanced when beating or running, the First 28 is a delicate and dynamic boat.
