HMS Grumpy is a Semi Traditional Stern Tug Style Narrowboat built in 2012 by XR & D Boat Builders. She features a popular reverse layout, is beautifully decorated and benefits from traditional features throughout. Propulsion is by a 42HP Canaline diesel engine, she also boasts Vetus bow thrusters.
Upon entering from the stern into the walkthrough galley, she boasts a 12v Waeco fridge, a Dometic methylated spirit hob & grill, along with ample storage below the countertops. Adjacent to the Belfast sink is the first of two side hatches. Moving on from the back of the boat and into the Pullmans dinette, which drops in to double bed, then on to cosy saloon, she features a Morso solid fuel stove and a large side hatch on the port side. The shower room is fitted with a Thetford toilet, a large shower, and a vanity basin. Finally, the bedroom, there is even space under the master bed. To finish, there is a large well deck inspired by a Tug design with a hatch housing the bow thrusters at the bow.
This vessel does not have any gas onboard. Coupled with x2 solar panels she is nicely set up to live off-grid.
